GUCCI DONNA eyewear collection incorporates a vintage yet contemporary feel,
with the unmistakable icons that
made GUCCI a
luxury leader.
The soft lines and upgraded frames of the acetate sunglasses, part of the
Britt” line, are identifiable by the new GUCCI logo, a double, overlapping G in
the form of an oval
that is inserted into metal tags or applied directly to the temples. This new
take on the traditional
interlocking G icon, stands out in contrasting hues of brown, cyclamen, black,
red and dark Havana
brown, or in more subtle shades of toned-down red, purple and grey.
Other models with striking profiles bear the GUCCI signature script, in enamel
on the interior of
oval tags, and are attached using tiny, exposed studs to illuminate the
different shades of horn,
green-Havana brown, brown, brilliant cyclamen, brilliant black, brilliant red,
dark Havana brown.
The rounded acetate frames have a 1970s look that are enhanced by the signature
script accentuated
by Swarovski crystals on the left temple: this differentiating touch stands out
against the Havana
grey, gold, green and horn.
In the new optical collection, the house more added iconic elements to the
overall design. The
instantly recognizable “double G” motif appears on the temple corner and the
green-red-green web
is found on the acetate and metal silhouette version. The metal element, with
the GUCCI signature
script, highlights the new acetate models tha t are available in various colours:
streaked black,
opaline brown, Havana green, brown gold, light horn.
GUCCI EYEWEAR – MAN – 2007
The new GUCCI UOMO optical and sunglass collection, dedicated to a multifaceted
man, is
presented in classic lines with cutting-edge design that is the hallmark of the
GUCCI brand.
Refined lines fused with modern sensibility create sunglasses with oversized
wrap-around frames
and lenses set in a contrasting slim metal structure, a striking combination of
materials and
proportions. The large temples are accentuated by the classic “T-bar,” with
details etched onto the
metal, and highlighted against black, white and cocoa hues.
The house’s classic sensibility is evidenced in the understated aviators
produced in timeless shades
of gold, red gold, palladium and ruthenium. |

The teardrop lenses are held in
place by thin, steel wire
for a virtually rimless effect, while the GUCCI logo etched onto the slender
temples and the house’s
signature script on the right lens, confer a sporty appeal. The contrasting and
unusual combination
of metal and acetate, with the perforated rubber logo, can be enhanced with
Swarovski crystals on
the “limited edition” version, available exclusively for women.
Perfectly balancing the modernity of titanium frames and the timelessness of
nylon-supported
lenses creates a weightless effect and is identifiable by the slim metal logo.
The linear design is
completed with the exclusive GUCCI- patented flexible flip-up temples.
Several acetate models with a vintage 1950s feel are identified by the unique
GUCCI logo, hooked
to the temple shims, and stand out against contrasting colours: rust-green,
purple-black, green-
Havana brown, crystal-smoke, dark Havana brown.
