The Benefits of Myopia Management
At Scott Eye Care, our Myopia Management program helps slow the progression of nearsightedness in children so they can enjoy clearer vision now and healthier eyes long-term, using advanced, personalized treatments such as Essilor Stellest® spectacle lenses, specialty contact lenses, orthokeratology and other clinician-guided options that go beyond traditional glasses and contacts to address underlying eye growth.
Stellest lenses use innovative HALT technology to correct vision while reducing eye elongation, helping slow myopia progression, and are offered alongside other evidence-based tools tailored to each child’s needs, all delivered by experienced eye care professionals dedicated to protecting your child’s vision for the future.
Specialized Eye Care: Medical Services For All Conditions
Vision Therapy
Vision Therapy helps patients improve their foundation for reading, learning and playing sports. It’s a series of custom and individualized activities and exercises which function as a form of neuro-optometric rehabilitation. The goal is to enhance eye tracking, focusing and eye teaming abilities as well as eye-hand coordination and visual processing speed.
The program is not only for children. Vision Therapy is effective for adults, especially if they are motivated to improve their visual abilities.
Low Vision
Low vision is considered significant vision impairment that usually results from serious eye disease or an injury. The vision loss, which is characterized by either reduced visual acuity (to 20/70 or worse) or reduced field of view, can’t be fully corrected with glasses, contact lenses, medication or surgery.
Dry Eye Syndrome
Even without knowing the term “dry eye” or “Dry Eye Syndrome“, if you suffer from it, then you are all too familiar with the soreness, discomfort, and even the constant misery that can come with dry eyes.
We use the most advanced diagnostic equipment and tools to quickly and accurately pinpoint the cause and type of dry eye problem you’re suffering from. We don’t just throw any old drops at you either. We provide custom, tailored treatment plans designed to maximize the relief of your dry eye symptoms AND treat the underlying cause of your discomfort.

The condition can range from having unsatisfactory vision to being nearly blind. The causes of low vision include eye injury, diseases such as age-related macular degeneration (AMD), and heredity.
How do I know Vision Therapy is right for my child?
If your child displays symptoms of strabismus (eye turn), amblyopia (“lazy eye”), skipping words or lines while reading, using a finger while reading, blurry near vision, double vision, eyestrain and/or eye fatigue, your child could benefit from Vision Therapy.
